Cherry Health, Michigan’s largest Federally Qualified Health Center, partnered with RLE to provide planning and project management services from inception through construction for renovations at two Grand Rapids, Michigan, locations. RLE developed preliminary budgets and schedules, assembled design and construction teams, and oversaw all design and construction phases from programming through closeout, including contract administration. RLE also prepared budgets and scope documents for C8E and HRSA and grant reporting throughout all phases of the projects. One clinic’s renovations included 12,200 square feet of interior finishes within patient exam rooms, dental clinics, and behavioral health offices. The other clinic included 23,000 square feet of interior and exterior renovations, including a new pharmacy, accessible entrance with lift, dental clinics, staff offices and breakrooms, and patient care rooms. RLE also coordinated and managed furniture scope and relocations. RLE worked with the general contractor and the client’s departmental contacts to develop phasing and turnover plans to maintain patient care with minimal disruption.
